A World-Class
Business EducationMBA at Aoyama Gakuin University,
where intelligence and sensibility lead the way through the era
Aoyama
Action LearningThe most notable feature of Aoyama Business School is "Aoyama Action Learning."
Many business schools in Japan require a master's thesis to complete the program; however, we developed this program to align with global standards, and there is no master's thesis; instead, we developed Aoyama Action Learning," a practical subject developed in collaboration with overseas business schools and industry.
This is meant to be a thorough two-year study program that consolidates MBA learning and knowledge and applies it to practical business settings.
Action
Management Game
In a management simulation, you will gain practical management skills while participating in an overseas MBA and competitive mock board meetings.
In this course, groups of 4-5 students will manage a fictional consumer products company. Students will compete on a worldwide scale in a collaborative business simulation game with an overseas MBA program.
The objective of this course is to give students an overview of corporate functions such as management, marketing, finance, accounting, and operations, as well as to improve their problem-solving skills through hands-on experience with issues that managers face (for example, developing management plans, board presentations and approvals, risk management, motivating teams, and disclosing information to shareholders).
Business Planning
Acquire the skills and information needed for hands-on entrepreneurship and new business development, from the generation of business ideas through the formulation of business plans.
The objective of this course is to develop the ability to start a venture business, including in-house entrepreneurship and social business, by creating a business plan for a new business in a small group.
With the objective of building businesses that focus on the customer's site and experience the business firsthand, special emphasis will be made on the development of highly practicable business models and the design of marketing methods that can effectively cultivate customers. This seminar is unique in that it invites entrepreneurs, angel investors, and venture capitalists as guest speakers to provide practical evaluations of highly plausible company concepts and business plans.
Advanced Corporate Communication
A Corporate Communications Officer (CCO) competency training system in IR activities, CSR and sustainability, financial policy, and governance understanding.
The objective of this course is to provide students with the information and abilities required of Corporate Communications Officers. The course specifically aims to provide students with an understanding of (1) investment analysis methods used by securities analysts and institutional investors, (2) investor relations (IR), (3) corporate sustainability activities, (4) corporate financial policies, (5) long-term corporate value enhancement measures and corporate governance, (6) corporate information disclosure, (7) information disclosure policies, and (8) the relationship between corporate management and corporate governance.
Business Analysis & Fund Management Simulation
Learn business analysis and assessment methods, as well as portfolio management. Develop good judgment for firms from the standpoint of an investor/analyst in the investment chain.
The objective of this course is to improve students' financial analysis and corporate strategy analysis skills, as well as to master methods of corporate value evaluation by producing analyst reports that provide earnings forecasts and investment recommendations based on corporate analysis and simulated experience in active management of Japanese stocks. Students will also learn how to choose stocks through portfolio composition, as well as risk analysis for portfolio management and performance evaluation. Experts will present and assess monthly investment performance.
Marketing Planning Project
Consulting projects on corporate marketing issues.
In this course, we will do research and analysis on current corporate marketing issues such as product/service development, branding, channel policy, and communication policy, and we will propose solutions to those issues. The process begins with a company orientation and is concentrated on fieldwork, which includes quantitative and qualitative research and analysis of customer needs, as well as consumer use of the company's own and competitors' products. To examine our proposals, we also use advanced case studies, market research, and design thinking.
Finally, the proposal is offered to the company for evaluation. Because there is a chance that the ideas may be implemented, companies take them seriously, and a highly realistic learning experience unfolds one after the other.
SDGs & Community Marketing
Develop the ability to comprehend the essence of SDGs-related activities and collaborate with various stakeholders, including government and business entities.
To achieve a sustainable society and environment by 2030, the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) have been established in 17 categories that must be addressed at all levels of government, business, and individuals.
In this course, we will introduce the CBL (Community Based Learning) method, which is widely used in business schools worldwide, to enhance cooperation and interaction with companies, organizations, communities, and governments, as well as to create, communicate, and provide social values.
Throughout this course, students are expected to learn the essence of SDGs-related activities, envision their own, and acquire the ability to coordinate various stakeholders.
Social Innovation
With a business mindset and entrepreneurial spirit, We take on the challenge of solving social issues.
Learn how to leverage systems thinking to grasp the essence of challenges and construct strategies, as well as how to involve multiple stakeholders to design collective impact. Simultaneously, aim to create business models that drive social change by utilizing the business mindset and skills acquired in the MBA program.
