ABS Advantages
ACTION LEARNING
- Aoyama Action Learning
- In year two, students will synthesize the knowledge they have acquired up to then with nine Aoyama Action Learning courses (FY2022). They are all designed to encourage students to learn from experience. While other business schools require students to write a thesis as a summary of the two years of study, ABS offers a practical program to cement a student's knowledge. Students will learn through direct application to their own work.
GLOBAL STANDARD
- Curriculum Aligned with Global Standards
- The ABS course groups are structured in reference to the curricula of leading business schools in Europe and the United States. While students can study specialized fields in depth, ABS is also effective in cultivating management skills that enable students to make decisions from a holistic perspective in an increasingly complex business environment. The systematic curriculum enables students to absorb a wide range of knowledge necessary to become creative leaders.
AT AOYAMA
- Located Conveniently for Both Work and Study
- ABS is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Omotesando and a 10-minute walk from Shibuya. Students can study within 30 minutes door-to-door from major Tokyo office areas such as Otemachi, Shimbashi, Shinagawa, Akasaka, and Shinjuku without sacrificing work performance. It is also a business environment that facilitates the creation of academia-industrial tie-ups and cross-industry exchanges.
History and Alumni Network
ABS is among those few business schools with a lengthy 30-year history and more than 2,500 alumni. Alumni active in society often return to present to classes. In addition, the alumni organization holds various events to maintain connections among alumni. Business opportunities are available, business partners can be met, and many other benefits can be reaped from this human networking resource.

Developing Global Human Resources
In addition to classes like Intercultural Management, we offer classes to study business in English to prepare students to be active globally. There are also overseas training seminars and classes conducted jointly with overseas MBA programs. In addition, there are opportunities for exchange with overseas business schools. To improve fundamental communication skills even further, we offer a subject called Global Communication (Basic) and host TOEIC examinations at ABS several times a year.

Business Ethics Education
ABS emphasizes corporate social responsibility, as indicated by the words Social Responsibility and Global Citizenship in our mission. In addition to requiring a Corporate Ethics and Compliance class, we also offer classes like Business and Ethics and Business Philosophy. This is a distinctive feature of Aoyama Gakuin's spirit of Christian education, which stresses freedom and autonomy, while at the same time tracking the global trend toward ethics in modern business schools.

Diverse Subjects, Moderate Class Sizes, Attentive Educational Guidance and Engagement
ABS offers a variety of MBA courses that both respond to the demands of the times and society and that provide students with options to choose from based on their own ambitions to become creative leaders and their desire to study independently. The diversity and breadth of the courses offered are unique to ABS, and cannot be found at any other school. (Curriculum for 2022: Required courses (9), Basic courses (19), Professional courses (70), Common specialized courses (14), Subjects available for other graduate courses (8), Aoyama Action Learning (12), 132 courses in total)
All lectures for required courses are recorded and the video content is made available to students. Mechanisms to Improve the Quality of Classes
ABS conducts course evaluation results for all classes, and feedback of the assessment results is not only given to the faculty members in charge of the classes, but is also made public to all current students. In addition, the ABS Teaching Awards are presented annually to recognize the efforts and contributions of faculty members who deliver outstanding classes, and to inspire them to strive to improve the quality of their classes in the future.
