中塚昭宏准教授（CSSC（持続的サプライチェーン研究所）副所長）の引率による工場見学会を昨年に引き続き開催しました。訪問先は、茨城県古河市のトモヱ乳業株式会社です。

中塚昭宏准教授が代表研究者を務める「食品ロス削減のための生産管理システムのグランドデザインに関する事例研究（科学研究費・若手研究）」にデータ提供やヒアリングなどでご協力をいただいていることが、工場見学会の開催につながりました。イブニングコースの学生5名が参加して、2013年7月に操業した第二工場を中心に牛乳、乳飲料、その他各種飲料などの製造プロセスや製造設備、徹底した衛生管理、生産管理システムのご説明を受けました。

最後には、見学させていただいた内容を踏まえて、有意義な意見交換も行われました。今後も三現主義に従い、現地で、現物を見て、現実を知る学びの場を提供していきます。

Factory Tour Led by Associate Professor Akihiro Nakatsuka

Continuing from last year, Associate Professor Akihiro Nakatsuka, Deputy Director of the Center for Sustainable Supply Chain (CSSC), led a factory tour to Tomoe Dairy Processing Co., Ltd. in Koga City, Ibaraki Prefecture. Tomoe Dairy has been providing data and cooperating with interviews for the “Case Study on the Grand Design of Production Management Systems for Food Loss Reduction” (Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research, Young Scientists), a research project led by Associate Professor Nakatsuka. This collaboration facilitated the organization of the factory tour.

Five students from the Evening Course participated, receiving detailed explanations of the manufacturing processes, production facilities, strict hygiene management, and production management systems for milk, dairy beverages, and various other drinks at the company’s second plant, which has been operational since July 2013. The tour concluded with a productive discussion, reflecting on the insights gained during the visit.

Moving forward, we will continue to offer learning opportunities that adhere to the principle of "the three reals"—learning on-site, seeing real objects, and understanding real situations.
