2024年度 青山学院大学総合研究所「SDGs 関連研究補助制度」に宮副教授の研究「繊維産地の持続的活性化に関する考察」が採択

青山学院大学大学院国際マネジメント研究科（青山ビジネススクール：ABS）の宮副謙司教授の研究が、2024年度の青山学院大学総合研究所「SDGs 関連研究補助制度」の対象研究として採択されました。
■ 研究の概要
日本の全国各地にある繊維産地を形成する企業群は、地域経済の停滞、ファッション衣料需要の全体的な低迷を背景に、長年苦しい経営状況でした。しかしながら、一部の繊維産地では独自の創造性や技術の専門性の高い企業が、海外からの評価も得て生き残り、存在感を高めているケースも見られます。また消費者のインターネット購買の浸透を受けて、繊維産地の川上・川中企業が直接的に消費者とつながり、新たな販路を見出し始めています。さらに近年の民藝ブームから着目される繊維産地のクリエーターも増加しています。
本研究は、そのような全国の繊維産地の新たな動きを事例研究し、持続的な活性化の戦略モデルの導出を行うものです（SDGs目標12-持続可能な生産消費形態の確保に該当）。
■ 研究対象の主な産地
2024年度の具体的な研究対象産地として、尾州（毛織物）、浜松（綿織物-民藝）、桐生（絹織物）、富山（合繊）、山形寒河江（ニット）などの事例研究を計画しています。
宮副教授は、青学総合研究所「SDGs関連研究助成制度」において、2019年度「企業の特性とSDGs取組領域の研究」（愛媛県西条市の企業を主な事例とした研究）、2021年度「ハウステンボスのSDGs型まちづくりの研究」と採択されており、今回は3回目の採択となりました。地域活性化につながるSDGs関係研究が継続的に評価されております。
Professor Miyazoe's Research "Consideration of Sustainable Revitalization of Textile Production Areas" Selected for Aoyama Gakuin University Research Institute's "SDGs Related Research Grant Program" for Academic Year 2024
A study by Professor Kenshi Miyazoe of Aoyama Gakuin University's Graduate School of International Management (Aoyama Business School: ABS) has been selected for the Aoyama Gakuin University Research Institute's "SDGs Related Research Grant Program" for the fiscal year 2024.
■ Summary of Research
The group of companies that form the textile production areas located throughout Japan have been struggling for many years against the backdrop of stagnant regional economies and an overall slump in demand for fashion clothing. However, in some textile production areas, companies with unique creativity and technological expertise are surviving and increasing their presence, with some even gaining recognition from overseas. In addition, upstream and midstream companies in textile production areas are beginning to find new sales channels by connecting directly with consumers as consumers purchase online. In addition, the recent folk art boom has attracted the attention of an increasing number of creators in textile production areas.
This study is a case study of such new trends in textile production areas across Japan, and is intended to derive a strategic model for sustainable revitalization (SDG Goal 12: Ensure sustainable production and consumption patterns).
■ Main production areas subject to research
In FY2024, case studies are planned for Bishu (woolen textiles), Hamamatsu (cotton textiles - folk art), Kiryu (silk textiles), Toyama (synthetic fibers), and Yamagata Sagae (knitwear) as specific production areas to be studied.
This is the third time Professor Miyazoe has been selected by the Aoyama Gakuin Research Institute's "SDGs Related Research Grant Program," having been selected in FY2019 for "Research on the characteristics of companies and SDGs action areas" (research using companies in Saijo, Ehime Prefecture as the main case study) and in FY2021 for "Research on SDG-type urban development in Huis Ten Bosch. This is the third time the project has been adopted. SDGs-related research that leads to regional revitalization has been continuously evaluated.
