Big Data in Society 5.0: Is Malaysia Ready For It?

On Saturday, November 5, 2022, Professor Dr. Noor Ismawati of Universiti Malaya, who was invited as a visiting professor to ABS, gave the public lectures entitled “Brief Introduction To Islam” and “Big Data in Society 5.0: Is Malaysia Ready For It?”

The lecture began with a topic that ABS students seldom encounter: “What is Islam?” The lecturers provided a wide range of knowledge about Islam, including the basic spirit of Islam, the lifestyle of Muslims, and the teachings of the Quran. The professor also gave a lecture on the current situation of Malaysian society in promoting digitalization, and particularly on the Malaysian government's efforts to promote and regulate the spread of 5G.

During this public lecture, a lively question-and-answer session was held following a talk giving an overview of Islam, which the students rarely encounter on a daily basis, and a talk on the promotion of the digitalization of Malaysian society.
