青山学院大学大学院国際マネジメント研究科（青山ビジネススクール：ABS）の「シビック・エンゲージメント・プロジェクト」（担当：宮副謙司教授）の受講生の中で、1つのグループが、日本で働くモンゴル人技能実習生を応援するプロジェクトを企画し、青学学生との正月交流イベントを開催しました。

具体的な活動としては、来日してまだ日が浅い技能実習生たちを招待し、彼らに日本について理解を深めてもらう活動を通じて、仕事と生活定着を応援する交流イベントを、ABS学生メンバーが自主企画し実施しました。

この交流イベントを開催したのは、2024年1月13日で、新年休み明けの時期でしたので、渋谷エリアの神社に着物で初詣し、室内スペースで、餅つきやかるた取りなど日本の正月を体験してもらいました（モンゴル人奏者による馬頭琴の演奏も行われました）。またABS在学生メンバー（複数）もイベントサポーターとして加わり、技能実習生と日本での暮らしや仕事に関するディスカッションも行い、相互の交流を深めました。

このABSメンバーは、2023年度前期ABS「ビジネス・プランニング」授業にて、大田区の中小企業にモンゴル人を紹介する事業案を立案しました。そのビジネス化の進展に向けて、2023年度後期「シビックエンゲージメントプロジェクト」授業で、ビジネスに関連する社会活動として、このような人材交流のコミュニティ活動に着手したという次第です。

今後、日本で働く技能実習生が、日本の生活に慣れ、仕事で技術を習得し、ますます活躍されますことを祈念したいと思います。

Project to Support Technical Intern Trainees Working in Japan - Planning and Organizing New Year's Exchange Events with Mongolian Intern Trainees

One group of students in the "Civic Engagement Project" (led by Professor Kenshi Miyazoe) of Aoyama Business School: ABS planned a project to support Mongolian technical intern trainees working in Japan and held a New Year's exchange event with ABS students.
Specifically, ABS students planned and implemented an exchange event to support the Mongolian technical intern trainees, who had only been in Japan for a short period of time, to deepen their understanding of Japan and help them settle into their jobs and lives in Japan.

The event was held on January 13, 2024, just after the New Year vacations, so the trainees paid a first visit to a shrine in the Shibuya area in kimonos and experienced the Japanese New Year in an indoor space, including rice cake pounding and karuta-tori (playing the matouqin by a Mongolian musician). ABS students also joined the event as event supporters, and had discussions with the technical intern trainees about life and work in Japan, deepening mutual exchanges.

In the first semester of the 2023 academic year, these ABS members developed a business plan to introduce Mongolians to small and medium-sized enterprises in Ota Ward, as part of the ABS "Business Planning" class. In the second semester of FY2023, in the "Civic Engagement Project" class, they initiated this kind of community activity for human resource exchange as a business-related social activity in order to promote its commercialization.

We hope that the technical intern trainees working in Japan will become accustomed to life in Japan, acquire skills on the job, and play an increasingly active role in Japan in the future.
